The West End and Broadway musical Cats will return to Singapore in October 2026. The production will be presented by Base Entertainment Asia and will be staged at the Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands.
A public waitlist for tickets has opened and will run until Feb 8, ahead of the start of general sales. Registration is available at baseasia.com/cats-waitlist. Exact performance dates have not yet been announced.
CATS was last presented in Singapore in 2019 at the Sands Theatre, which also hosted the musical in 2015. Earlier runs took place at the Esplanade Theatre in 2009 and at the Kallang Theatre in 1993.
Composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Cats is based on Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats by T. S. Eliot. The musical is set on the night of the Jellicle Ball, when a group of cats gather to share their stories before one is selected for rebirth into a new life.
First staged in London in 1981, Cats became one of the longest-running productions in West End and Broadway history. The musical has since been staged in more than 30 countries and translated into multiple languages.
