Hadestown Proshot opens July 24, 2026 in North American cinemas, with Reeve Carney and Eva Noblezada returning to their roles in the filmed West End musical.

The filmed West End staging of Hadestown will open in cinemas across North America on July 24, 2026, bringing the musical to screens more than a year after the live capture was recorded in February 2025. Reeve Carney and Eva Noblezada, who originated Orpheus and Eurydice on Broadway, lead the filmed release.
Brett Sullivan directed the filmed performance. The stage musical is written by Anaïs Mitchell, with Rachel Chavkin as director.
Hadestown brings together the stories of Orpheus and Eurydice and Hades and Persephone in a journey that moves between the world above and the underworld. On Broadway, the show won eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score. Its original cast album also won the Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album.
Noblezada is a two-time Tony nominee for Miss Saigon and Hadestown. Carney received an Outer Critics Circle nomination for Hadestown.
Carney and Noblezada married in October 2025. Before Broadway, they had already played Orpheus and Eurydice together in the National Theatre’s London production. A UK date for the film has not been set.
